Frontiers of Structural and Civil Engineering 2022, Volume 16, Issue 6,   Pages 792-802 doi: 10.1007/s11709-022-0849-6

Abstract: polyethylene terephthalate fibre reinforced concrete (RPFRC) in comparison with control concrete without fibres. polyethylene terephthalate fibres with three different diameters (0.45, 0.65, and 1.0 mm) and two lengthsThe results revealed that none of the fibres have detrimental effects up to 1% volume fraction, howeverPolyethylene terephthalate fibres were observed to have marked improvements on those properties.Such a good performance could be attributed primarily to the bridging effect of fibres.

Frontiers of Structural and Civil Engineering 2019, Volume 13, Issue 5,   Pages 1020-1035 doi: 10.1007/s11709-019-0534-6

Abstract: important parameters (beam reinforcing plates, initial post-tensioning, and material properties of steelThe PTSC connection is comprised of bolted top and bottom angles as energy dissipaters and steel strandsFurthermore, properties of steel material has been simulated using bilinear elastoplastic modeling with1.5% strain-hardening which has perfectly matched with the real material of steel angles. It is recommended to avoid using steel angles with high yielding strength since they lead to the yielding
